Met a friend for dinner last evening. All tables taken by other diners, so grabbed a couple of seats at the bar where I prefer anyway. Great interactions with Chef Alfredo and Chef Reed as we watched them prepare the dishes. I have celiac and must adhere to a gluten free diet. No issues at Alfred's. Friend had the Scallops Florentine for an appetizer and I had the German Potato Pancakes. Both are excellent and the pancake is large enough for two. The main entrees selected were the Halibut Special and I selected Pork Chop. The Halibut was excellent and the pork chop was thick, cook perfect and excellent as well. Nothing better than a perfectly cooked pork chop. No room for dessert unless you include the bottles of Jayson Cabernet and Banfi Brunello. The staff could not be any better. Nice, very knowledgeable regarding any allergies and attentive. I cannot write enough good things about Alfred's and the Staff. If you have not dined here then stop reading and reserve a table. You will not be disappointed.

We had an exceptional dining experience! The food was absolutely delicious, with every dish prepared to perfection and full of flavor. The presentation was stunning. The service was equally impressive. The staff was warm, attentive, and made us feel welcome from start to finish. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for outstanding food, beautiful presentation, and excellent service. We can't wait to come back!

Alfred's was recommended by a friend and did not disappoint! The steak was amazing and cooked perfectly. It was the best fillet I have had and I did not need to addsalt or pepper. MY wife had the special which was Halibut with crabmeat and it was better than my steak! The appetizers we had were the Seafood Mornay and Scallops Florentine and both were perfect. The service was great as well. If you try to Uber there it's the luck of the draw, as they cannot seem to find it. If your driving...easy to find with Apple maps...so I dont't get it! By the way...going back tonight!

Great food in a pleasant atmosphere with solid service. Drinks were very good and the potato pancake appetizer was really tasty. The German Sampler was really good but would definitely benefit from a gravy or pan sauce for the schnitzel and short ribs since they felt a little plain for my taste. Sides were all really good too and the portions are generous. Loved the desserts too. Definitely want to come back and try some more dishes! Alfred's has a really diverse menu and provides a lovely experience.

A Time Machine on a Plate You can find a lot of places that serve great food, but it is incredibly rare to find a restaurant that serves a time machine on a plate. That is exactly what I experienced at Alfred’s Restaurant. The atmosphere is welcoming, the service is sharp, and the menu is undeniably solid across the board. But if you walk through their doors, there is one thing you absolutely must order: the potato pancakes. When the plate arrived, they looked exactly right—deeply golden, aggressively crispy on the lacy edges, and radiating steam. But it was the smell, and then that very first bite, that actually stopped me in my tracks. It was the exact, unmistakable flavor of grated potato, and the rich, savory crunch of something fried with genuine care. In a single instant, forty years completely melted away. I wasn't sitting in a bustling dining room anymore; I was a ten-year-old boy swinging my legs under my grandmother's kitchen table. I could almost hear the sizzle of her cast-iron skillet and feel the warmth of the kitchen. Alfred's hasn't just mastered a recipe; they’ve managed to capture the exact soul and comfort of a grandmother's cooking. A lot of chefs can make a technically perfect dish, but it takes a special kind of kitchen to cook with enough heart to transport you back to the best moments of your childhood. Go to Alfred's, order the potato pancakes, and savor every single bite. It is pure nostalgia, perfectly crisped.

The menu is really half French and half German. It was very good but by no means the best German food I've had. The potato pancakes were amazing. Hubby had an Old Fashion which he said was excellent, I had an amaretto sour that could have used some more spirits. The slow cooked spare ribs were very tender.

My boyfriend and I came here and had a great time! Our dinner was delicious, and our server was excellent. My boyfriend ordered roasted duck - delicious! My halibut was cooked to perfection! Really romantic setting. Very European. Not easy to find good German food! Compliments to the chef! I love a light dessert, and my flourless chocolate mousse was so yummy - especially the crust.

Alfred’s never disappoints, because they are always on point. I ordered the German Potato Pancakes with sour cream and apple sauce as an appetizer. For our entrees, my wife ordered the Chilean Sea Bass, with whipped potatoes, and sautéed spinach. I ordered the Potato crusted Halibut with sautéed spinach. The fish and accompaniments were cooked to perfection. We’re still trying to figure out the secret to that delicious spinach. We each ordered the Apple Strudel with vanilla ice cream for dessert, however, it may have been cooked a bit too long, so we had to return it. They made it up to us by bringing out another dessert, which was the Hummingbird cake bread pudding, which was deliciously sweet and tasty. We’re looking forward to our next visit to Alfred’s!
