Our ferry ride over to Daufuskie Island and back was definitely memorable as we enjoyed our conversation and music while also encountering a pod of dolphins. The golf cart rental went well and was ready for us when we got there. Food and drinks were also good at the Daufuskie Crab Co. Would recommend for an off-the-beaten path experience while visiting HHI.

Thank you Matt for helping us to understand the area a little better. Your passion for boat life shows. The areas of Daufuskie you recommended we fun to explore. Bloody Point Lighthouse/Musuem(cold, cold beverage and fun, local purchases. Melrose Plantation- interesting history of the resort. Wildlife in abundance-Grand Egrets(pretty sure), deer, raccoons, rabbits. Haig public boat launch. We just kept driving around on the golf cart. Yes, we got lost but it was fun to see how the few locals live. So glad we went. Got to see dolphins and prescribed burn on Bull Island, Harbor Town on way back. Matt is knowledgeable and nice. Well done to the Captain too. Great day.

We had a great day exploring Daufuskie Island with Island Head! The boat ride over was smooth and enjoyable, and picking up our reserved golf cart was quick and easy. Driving around the island was a lot of fun and the perfect way to explore its unique charm, beautiful scenery, and laid-back atmosphere. Everything was well organized, and we would definitely recommend Island Head to anyone looking for a fun day trip to Daufuskie!

Excellent day with beautiful weather. Nice trip from the dock….it takes 50 min as you pass thru a couple of NO WAKE channels. We got the pkg with trip, cart, and meal/drink vouchers. Cart worked well. Do not be fooled by the maps! Many of the roads are little more than dirt two-tracks and we travelled quite a few. Our desire was to visit historical areas as we had read and were familiar with Conroy’s The Water Is Wide and Conrack the movie. That may have been our only disappointment as the school is not preserved as a school but instead has an indigo ink studio, a coffee shop (supporting, I think, the First Union African Baptist church next door…good frappes and juicers tho) as well as a photographers studio. The church next door is beautiful as is the historical museum which was once a church. The restaurant is busy, so if you want to eat at two (the ferry gets in at 12), plan to wait for your food as the area was packed! No problem for us at 3 as we were done touring, Michigan State’s game was on the tv, and we weren’t scheduled to leave the island until5. Definitely recommend.

We had the best time on our tour. Informative and we saw a ton of dolphins. Some were jumping out of the water which our guide said is rare.. we saw some stingrays too which was really cool and also rare. It was a great experience!

My reasoning for giving this hibachi dinner cruise this rating is as follows…. It wasn’t a terrible experience, but it definitely wasn’t what we expected. We booked this for a birthday dinner, thinking it would have a more elegant, traditional dinner cruise atmosphere. Instead, it felt more like a party boat than a special occasion setting. Also, the price didn’t match the vibe either. It’s worth maybe $69 per person but definitely not the $109 plus taxes per person I paid. The biggest surprise was the setup for dining. I’ve never been on a dinner cruise where you’re expected to eat your meal out of your lap on a pontoon-style boat. That made it feel a lot less comfortable and a lot less upscale than anticipated. That said, the food was decent and the overall vibe might be fun if you’re just looking for a casual, lively outing with friends. Just don’t go in expecting a refined or romantic dinner cruise experience.

Bought package for 2: cart, boat ride , $20 food/drink voucher each. Had a fabulous time would highly recommend this excursion. The historical church on the island does provide service at 10am on Sundays. Also, the fried bologna sandwich with slaw was amazing at the dock restaurant.

Ok, so I have to be honest I had zero expectations for this tour, having been on several in the past (other places), but it was well worth the money and we will definitely be back to do it again. Bill was the best guide! We saw SO many dolphins and he was so knowledgeable. Would 100% recommend to anyone coming to HHI (this is just one picture but we have several videos of the dolphins coming up and around the boat).
