This tour was phenomenal! Our guide, Daren, was incredibly knowledgable about dolphins, birds, soils, and other wildlife. He was helpful in teaching and guiding new kayakers, too. I learned a TON and got to see some amazing creatures on the 8AM tour. I can’t recommend this experience any higher! Worth every penny and more!
A MUST DO!!! Just under $100 for my boyfriend and I to go out on the dolphin tour. Guide Darren was VERY knowledgeable about the two species of dolphins we saw and of the MANY birds we saw. Learned a lot from this experience and also got a couple of recommendations for other nature activities on the island like the federal bird preserve. Good things to know before going: your butt will get wet, you will want a water bottle out there, you’ll also get worn out even if you’re an experienced kyacker. There are good restrooms right next to check in by the boat storage. You can also pay to fill up a reusable water bottle here. And then the actual company sells bottles of water for $2 each. It’s hot out there and the tour is 2 hours long where you’ll follow the dolphins as they show up, other than that you’re following other local wildlife. We saw a muskrat! SPF is a must. Life vests had a secure pocket big enough to fit your phone in. Toward the end they also take photos of your individual groups free of charge. Total group was about 10 people.
We had an amazing time on our kayak and dolphin tour with Daren! He was incredibly knowledgeable about the local wildlife and shared so many interesting facts throughout the tour. Daren was also very pleasant, professional, and made everyone feel completely safe and comfortable on the water. Seeing the dolphins up close was unforgettable! Highly recommend this tour, especially if you get Daren as your guide.
